As we leave 2020 and the numerology of 4 behind us and go into 2021 we move into the numerology of 5 which is the number of change, motion, freedom and exploration. With Brexit and freedom from Europe becoming real at last, with the rapid changes, in what is important to us both individually and globally, which Covid has brought upon us and with Virgin Galactica about to launch tourists into space, the Mars mission getting closer, this year promises to be everything 5 promises.
This change will be the answer to some long forgotten collective prayer for peace. 5 is also said to represent the Microcosm (the individual) and 6 (2022)is said to represent the Macrocosm (the collective). 6 is the number of creativity and success.
Notice how the numbers which make up 5 are also 2 - 0 - 2 - 1 which again include the numbers which were prevalent last year. In fact this whole decade will be heralding different types of change. As well as the Grand Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter on the winter solstice taking us into a new 200 year cycle.
This year the only difference is we change one of the zeros for a one. This means that the influence of Zero is halved and the influence of 1 (new beginnings) is brought in. So fresh starts all around both personally and collectively. Thinking of the collective it can only change as we the individuals change. It reminds me of Ghandi’s quote.
“Be the change you want to see in the world” and that is as good a way to start the year off as any. Exploring new ways of “Being” free, loving, joyful, compassionate, grateful.
As far as numerology goes, five is all about expansion, change, adventure, travel, freedom, exploration, variety, curiosity, and wisdom seeking. It draws our attention to the wonder of life and leads us to seek beyond yourselves. It is also the number of harmony, balance and divine grace. It is unpredictable and brings radical change. Change has always been about breaking boundaries, seeking new limits and in this case, to create greater harmony within the world.
In tarot 5 is about success after struggle and as we have always known, “out of chaos comes new order” and that is what this year is going to bring us, New Order and a new way of being.
