Roman Festival of Lectisternium.

13th September is the Roman Festival of Lectisternium. It was traditional to dress up statues of Jupiter, Juno and Minerva and give them a feast! Lectisternium, meaning to “spread a couch” is an ancient Greek and Roman ritual when food was offered to gods and goddesses whose images or statues were laid on a couch facing the open street.
